Example Owner’s Representative project / This extraordinary home is a work of art in itself - originally designed by Stanley Saitowitz. Clients engaged Sean McArdle to assist them in acquiring the residence and renovating the interior of this extraordinary home. In addition to designing and renovating homes, Sean has assisted 22 clients in identifying, evaluating, purchasing, and renovating their property to their desired specification.

Designed with a purity of expression utilizing energy-efficient modern building materials, including aluminum exterior panels and ultra-clear insulated windows and sliding doors, achieving stunning clarity and light. The modernized floor plan was brilliantly designed, utilizing a steel superstructure that offers clean, open spaces with dramatic lines, volume, and light, as well as superior structural performance. Rooftop solar and energy-efficient design decisions significantly reduce homes’ energy use.

MCARDLE Design respected the original architect's work while assisting new owners to customize their residence.

Saitowitz is Emeritus Professor of Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, and is Design Principal with Natoma Architects Inc. Sean McArdle, as an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley College of Architecture, was proud to respect the architect’s original design vision.
